Telegraph Electric is locally owned and operated by Andrew Nielsen and Josh Popma. Both are Red Seal electricians with commercial and residential experience.

  • Andrew lives in Cobble Hill BC with his wife Katrina and their two children Emmett and Lyla. Born and raised in the Cowichan Valley, Andrew is passionate about working in and for his community. The training he received under various mentors along with the excellent education from Vancouver Island University gives him a vast knowledge of the trade and the local industry. He received his Red Seal certification in 2016 and continues to educate himself in the latest electrical trends.

  • Josh has an unmatched enthusiasm for hard work. It began with wielding a hedge trimmer from a young age and over the years has included a myriad of trades and projects. Starting in 2019 he focused this passion for work on pursuing a career as an electrician. He attended Vancouver Island University for the next four years, while apprenticing for two electrical companies in the Valley. Josh received his Red Seal Certification in December 2023, and will be pursuing his Master Electrician in the near future. He resides in the Cowichan Valley with his wife Tazia and their daughter Jovie.
